World perspective
“One man can move a mountain, if he wants to”
The costs of setting things in motion on this planet have never before been so low as today.
Change is taking place rapidly because of an interconnected world with powerful freely accessible technology and because of lowering communication costs.
In the western part of the world, we live in a world of plenty. A world that at the same time, or maybe therefore, is being challenged on social, economical, environmental, health and political issues.
The last 50 years, we tried to solve problems by talking, meeting, debate and making analyses.
But action speaks louder than words.
More and more people feel the urge to actually do stuff, learn, experience, and make progress…
We feel the desire to help and contribute our talents to the greater good.
What if we would make this happen?
What if we would unite, come together on some focus points?
What if we share our ideas and mistakes?
What if we could build a swarm and focus on the main issues that society faces nowadays?
What if we organize this in one week, in one country, with one focus?
Project perspective
In February 2011, you can be a part of a daring adventure.
An event to upgrade a country in only seven days.
Gathering people, information and ideas in 12 cities across the Netherlands.
With only social capital.
Is it possible to make a difference on a large scale, without the use of money?
We believe it is!
Especially in the Netherlands, one of the most interconnected countries in the world.
We see challenges, we see opportunities and we see desire. Tremendous desire.
We see desire to contribute to redesign thinking in a lot of fields that need our attention.
Why not translate that desire in for example in rethinking what education should look like in ten years and translate that inspiration into concrete action?
Now is the time, to make it happen, more than ever.
“We are the ones we have been waiting for”.
Let’s figure out together how we can upgrade a country in only seven days.
By using the power of dialogue combined with technology.
By using the power of an interconnected world.
By using the power of inspiration and ideas.
In a world of access and plenty, anything is possible.
People perspective
Are you really doing the things you want to do?
Are you focusing on your passions?
How do you contribute?
How do you help solve problems?
How do you create, commit and connect?
And more important, with whom?
Where do you fit in the grand scheme of things?
Do you want to be part of the swarm of creativity, love and unison?
Do you want to contribute your social capital to this plan?
Ask yourself, if not now, when?
